The team behind „Market of Possibilities“
Whenever you read the word “we” on this website, it means Beate, Daniel, Jula, Vanessa and Tamara. We are psychology students who have more or less voluntarily explored various ideas and psychological mechanisms as part of a practical seminar in social psychology. The basic idea was to solve a socio-psychological problem for students through a product idea. Sounds complicated, but it was! To this end, we have, for example, dealt intensively with the motivation theory of self-determination according to Deci & Ryan (2002). The page was edited and updated by Enis Palloshi.
What always inspired and united us in the development of the idea and now the final website was our enthusiasm for creative expression and self-realization as individuals. We are convinced that people are incredibly diverse and that students in particular have the need to be more than just “students of subject xy”. Studying in particular offers many opportunities to try things out and shape yourself. However, many students don’t even know about all the cool things the university and city have to offer. And how are you supposed to find something on your own if you don’t know you’re looking for it? That’s why we’ve developed the Market of Opportunities for you and for us.
A big thank you also goes to the lovely Louisa Althans, who designed and created the original logo for the website with us! True to our motto “Find your PLUS”, we wanted to symbolize all colourful and diverse pieces and that we are made up of, the many so-called self-aspects. You can think of them like pieces of a puzzle. We want to help you discover the piece of the puzzle that may still be missing.
