Reachable by Bus: Take trolleybus line 5 to the Birkensiedlung bus stop.

The Hellbrunn Stone Theater is an architectural masterpiece hidden in the rock of Hellbrunn Hill. It is the oldest open-air theater north of the Alps and today is an attraction for walkers in Hellbrunn. Originally, this place was used as a quarry – primarily for the construction of the Hellbrunn complex. The first open-air opera performance in Central Europe took place here in August 1617.
